Asking yourself to keep indulgence in check during the festive and wedding season wouldn’t be fair, right? After all, it is the time to feast on rich food and decadent sweets. But after the celebrations wind down, your body might be craving a reset. All those festive treats, late-night parties, and heavy meals can take a toll on your energy and digestion. And not to forget, your health goals!
Once festivities and parties are done, it is important to detox your body. A well-planned post-festive detox can help rejuvenate your system, flush out toxins, lose extra weight, and get you back on track. It’s like cleansing your body from the inside. To help you out, we asked Expert Nutritionist and Lifestyle Consultant Dr. Archana Batra to share her Post-Festive Detox Tips with us.

1 green apple
½ lemon juice
A small piece of ginger

Apple beetroot carrot smoothie (ABC smoothie)

1 beetroot
1 carrot
1 inch pc of ginger
Water

3. Indulge in light, fibre-rich meals
Speaking of detox tips, we can never skip this one. Include salads in your meals with a mix of greens, legumes, and seeds. For example, a quinoa salad with greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, and a light lemon dressing is a great choice for post-festive light eating.
You may also consider including vegetable khichdi for lunch, which is light on gut and yet nutritious enough.

This soup is light, hydrating, and easy on digestion, making it perfect for detoxing during winters.
Ingredients:
1 carrot, diced
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 zucchini, diced
1 onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 cup spinach
1 -2 tsp olive oil
4 cups vegetable broth
Herbs like basil, thyme, and parsley
How to prepare: Sauté the garlic and onion in olive oil. Add the vegetables and broth, and simmer for 20 minutes. Add spinach and herbs before serving.
5. Add Probiotics to your meals
After heavy meals, include natural probiotics like yogurt, kefir, or fermented foods like kimchi to help restore gut health. Probiotic foods help in digestion and absorption of nutrients from foods, making sure that you get the most nutritional benefit out of what you eat.
Detoxing doesn’t have to be complicated, overwhelming or stressful. A few simple changes into your diet can make a big difference. So, take these detox tips to heart, and step into the new season feeling healthier and more energized!
